Just a short time ago, CompTIA announced that it has assumed the management and operations of the TSP-ISAO that I am heading up. I could not be more excited about this announcement. CompTIA is the leading, vendor-neutral, global IT trade association. There is simply no better organization out there to head up this effort focused on advancing the global IT industry. CompTIA's resources and reach with assure the success of this important initiative.

The announcement was made during CompTIA's Virtual Communities and Councils Forum, taking place online today. The event was originally scheduled to take place in Chicago, but in light of the COVID-19 crisis, CompTIA quickly pivoted the event to virtual and well over 300 people are actively engaging in the online meeting. Huge congratulations to the CompTIA events and membership teams for pulling this off on such short notice!

In case you are not familiar with the TSP-ISAO, it's the Technology Solution Provider Information Sharing and Analysis Organization. The mission of the TSP-ISAO is to advance the cybersecurity resilience of the global TSP industry. It's a non-profit member lead organization that includes all companies providing technology services to end user customer organizations as well as the vendor and broader IT community that support the delivery of these customer facing solutions.

Cybersecurity is an existential threat to the long term health of the global economy. Even as we are presently facing the unprecedented interruptions of the COVID-19 outbreak, bad actors are exploiting this crisis to continue their hacking efforts. We must come together as an industry, setting aside competitive differences and help one another understand the nature of the threat and how to properly respond. Without this collaborative effort, we will continue to react to the bad actors instead of leading the fight against them.
