This is the third week of National Preparedness Month and this week's theme is Prepare for Disasters. In light of what we are seeing in the Atlantic and the Gulf Coast right now, this is an important message to heed.
There are resources available to prepare for all manner of disasters from hurricane's, to extreme heat to avalanches and more. There is also information on how to be sure you receive timely alerts in the event of a disaster.
For businesses, safeguarding your employees and your systems are of utmost importance in a disaster. In some ways, the current pandemic has prepared many businesses. Nearly everyone had to pivot to remote work and making sure that the company's systems were remotely accessible, just as if everyone was still in the office.
Take the time to be sure you are prepared, personally and professionally.
